The History of the Scout Society

Scout Society has been serving youth and families in our community since 1992, when our journey began with the creation of Cub Scout Pack 511. Over the years, our organization has grown and evolved to provide Scouts with opportunities to build character, develop leadership, serve others, and gain confidence through hands-on experiences, outdoor adventures, and the values of Scouting.

Today, Scout Society brings together Cub Scout Pack 511, Scouts BSA Family Troop 511, and Venture Crew 591. While our programs have changed with the times - including the transition to a unified family troop where boys and girls learn and lead together - our purpose has remained the same: helping young people prepare for life through Leadership, Service, and Citizenship.

Together, we learn, grow, and serve our community while preparing ourselves for life’s adventures.

About Crimson Embers

Every Scout's journey is filled with new challenges, experiences, and opportunities to grow. To represent that journey, Scout Society adopted the phoenix - Crimson Embers - as our mascot, a symbol of resilience, renewal, and the idea that every ending can become the beginning of something new.
