The Venturing Silver Award is the highest award that a Venturer may earn. It is the equilivient of an Eagle Scout for the Boy Scout and the Gold Award recipient for the Girl Scout. A Silver Award recipient had demonstrated exceptional skills in leadership, outdoor, citizenship, service, fitness, and social.

Note: as of June 2014, The Bronze, Gold, and Silver Awards have been retired. Taking its place are four new awards that has their own unique focus. They are as follows: Venturing Award (joining the Crew), Discovery Award (participation), Pathfinder Award (leadership), and Summit Award (mentoring).
